The framework/skeleton/formers are the hardest parts to cut cleanly, so I am told.

The A6M2 Zero is a good choice for a model, and I see you are preparing a pilot figure for it in your other thread here.
If you can find a copy of the book "Eagles of the Mitsubishi" it is very much worth reading. It has almost the entire history of Jiro Horikoshi designing the Zero, from A6M2 Model 11 (as used in China and at Pearl Harbour)through to A6M8 (as used in Japan in 1945).
It is a very good book to read, with a lot of information, and some useful pictures.
