Canonnière Olry - 1905 - Yangtze-Kiang

Hello dear modellers,

I present you my french canonnière de Chine : the Olry in 1905.

She was a small gunship launched in 1901 in Shanghai.
35 meters long, 1 meter draft.
2 steam alternative machines 550 cv.
11 knots
6 hotchkiss 37 mm rapid fire guns Mod. 1885.
4 officers, 20 masters and sailors, 15 chinese coolies, cookers ...

This papermodel model is of my own work : designed with Adobe Illustrator vector software.

Scale 1/250 or 1 meter = 4 millimeters.

Yes, I designed and build some other paper ships.

For example : two ancient Roman cargo ships, the Ponto and the Navis Oneraria.

I am going to finish an ancient Greek combat ship, the Triacontère ..

And some other ships and gunships.

Later, I shall show you some of these ... be patients ...

Yes, these boats were designed only for riverine actions, patrol duties, and so on.
Theirs hull were too shallow to go on open sea.
