MiG-21U der DDR

Hi!

Here is what I'm currently working on: an east german MiG-21U in 1/200. It's a derivative of my previous Chengdu FT-7 & FT-7P

They're beta versions, ie not finished and subject to change. Being screencaps, the pics are not to scale.

I need to make a test build once I finish the color schemes.

I finished the painting. This one is from JAG 15 in 1965. It crashed 2 years later.



Next will be a camouflaged Izdeliye 66-600 of the same unit in 1989... but after I finish a test-build of the MiG-21UM.

Among the things I have to change: the camo on the spine.

My little squadron of MiG-21 and derivatives : 5 Paragon MiG-21 (the 1st one is smaller than the others), 2 Vladimir Ye-8, 5 Rawen/Paran MiG-21, 7 of my FT-7/JJ-7, 1 MiG-21UM and 1 MiG-21U.

I finally built the other MiG-21U in east german colors. It's an izdeliye 66-400 with the MiG-21F13 tail and ventral fin. It's supposed to be silver but the grey shade I chose is too light. The other model in the pic is a what-if, a MiG-21UM (izdeliye 69) of Britain's "Empire Test Pilots School".







The 4 east-german MiG-21 together (the single seaters are Paran & Rawen's models, one of them transformed into a MiG-21PF):



MiGs & Phantoms (Chaiwatkom's F-4E). I did some transformations on Rawen & Paran's MiG-21.



I also finally did the pakistani FT-7P repaints I wanted to do ever since I embarked on the JJ-7/MiG-21U project (not built yet):

Why don't try with silver paper ?
Your F-4 are quite detailed

The Phantom is a Chaiwat Kosatanakom design. I just added the canopy and the landing gear (and made new wings for the second one).

You have very interesting aircraft there. Particularly the British Mig and the Mig project. I hope you make then available.
